Let’s get digital

The Bankmed website and app are simple to use and provide convenient ways to access your medical aid information – anytime, anywhere.

Make your life easier!

Once you’ve registered on the Bankmed website you can check your available benefits and manage your Plan wherever you are.

Better still, download the Bankmed app on your phone.

A membership card you can’t misplace

You and your family have access to your virtual membership card on your smartphones. Simply click on the button at the top right of the screen and then select ‘Digital card/s’ to load instant proof of membership.

An easy way to check benefits

You don’t have to wonder if you still have benefits available before you visit a healthcare professional. Simply check your ‘benefits used’ online or on the Bankmed app so you know what benefits are still available and if any limits apply to your cover.

A simple way to find a Healthcare Professional

The website and app let you find a healthcare professional near you. Simply choose ‘Find a Healthcare Professional’, and enter the type or name of a registered provider in your area. The search results will show if the provider has an agreement with Bankmed (full network cover). If not, you might have a co-payment.

A seamless record of your medical history

You can access your Electronic Health Record through the website or the app. It shows your medical history, including what medication you’ve claimed for, when you visited the doctor and the diagnosis. You can also provide your healthcare professional with access to this information so they know your medical history. Your doctor will then be able to study any previous blood test results and write electronic prescriptions.
